I had a wonderful visit to the Holiday Inn at Sunshine Coast. The place is lovely, and the staff at the reception were very friendly and welcoming. I visited twice for breakfast each morning, and I found it to be worth the money.
I do have some suggestions for improvements:
- Adding a breakfast menu for better options.
- Including more cut fruits for display.
- Placing some fresh salads next to the cool chiller.
- Adding boiled eggs and soup dishes to the breakfast spread.
- I believe the chefs could create more special items to attract more customers.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 days and had a great experience. The hotel is quiet and very clean—you can really see the effort they put into keeping everything comfortable and well maintained. They only offer breakfast, but there are great options nearby for lunch and dinner. Compass Menu is just a 5-minute walk and has excellent food and service. The pool was clean, and the gym was good as well. I really liked this hotel, and the location is perfect—close to the beach and Sunshine Plaza. I would definitely stay here again.

Reception staff at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sunshine Coast by IHG were fantastic and the rooms were comfortable and clean.
However, don’t bother about breakfast , if you are lactose or gluten intolerant, I would not recommend dining here. The food looked ordinary. The croissants were dry. Very basic selection. Two star for breakfast. The restaurant manager was inflexible and showed no real concern for dietary health and safety. He refused to provide two fried eggs. It was too much work for him. I even offered to buy my own eggs and fry them. It’s a pity how one person can change the tone of the place. Very disappointing..

This is a great hotel. It is immaculate with a highly courteous staff. David, the hotel manager, is outstanding. He runs a tight ship and the entire staff extends themselves to make sure you have anything you may need. Very much guest oriented. I thought parking outside the garage would be an issue, but it is not. I recommend the hotel highly and will be returning often. It has all the amenities.

The hotel was located near the centre of the city. The area was quite quiet at night. Breakfast was included and the choice was very basic with just one or two alternations in the buffet menu. Freshly brewed coffee was offered free of charge. I stayed for 2 nights and appreciated the room design very much. It was quite modern and user oriented. The window blind was excellent, blocking all the light for a better sleep. TV was large enough, but watching YouTube was not available. Toothbrush and other daily necessities were offered at the front desk upon request. Shower area was sizable. Carpark was limited at a charge and needed to use the room card at the entrance. There was a carpark complex opposite to the hotel, with plenty of lots at a cheaper rate. Front desk service was 24 hours a day. The hotel offered light meals and drinks. There were restaurants and fast food shops nearby. Driving to attractions was convenient.
