Many thanks to Jess and her crew (sorry, I can't remember your names) for their amazing care last Saturday afternoon. It was a worrying time for me, which was made a lot better by their presence and actions. Efficiently off to hospital and all is now good. Many thanks, girls.

I cannot write highly enough about the paramedics Amy and Chloe who transported me to Caboolture Public Hospital ED this week. They were efficient and empathetic during the transport. But it was at the ED that they were outstanding is their help to me. A power-mad ED male nurse had told me to leave the hospital if I did not sit in a waiting room chair. I had excruciating abdominal pain with what was diagnosed later as a life-threatening condition, and could only lay flat, so I left before security was summoned. Whilst outside the hospital, waiting for my husband to get our vehicle, the nurse threatened me with security and the police if I did not allow him to remove the cannula from my arm. His supervisor got the nurse to leave and apologised for his appalling treatment of me. But it was Amy and Chloe who got me back in the ED with a promise to arrange chairs so I could lay down, who got me a pillow and blanket, and followed up with me. This despite the fact that they had previously handed me off to ED. These paramedics went above and beyond their job to help me and for that I am very grateful. I had emergency abdominal surgery and am now recovering. The ending to this story may have been very different if not for Amy and Chloe.
