I want to share my experience with DBL Solicitors regarding an incident on 23 December 2025.
On that day, a solicitor from the firm, Benjamin Trost, attended my property in Cannon Hill, acting on behalf of a client who was not present. Despite my instructions to communicate in writing only, he attempted to enter my home using a key, without my consent and without providing the legally required Form 9 Notice of Entry under the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 (QLD).
I was present at the time, and the attempt caused me to feel unsafe in my own home, particularly as I live alone and have mobility issues. I had to physically prevent access to ensure my safety.
I have reported this incident to the Legal Services Commission. I am sharing this review to inform others of my experience with the firm and to highlight the importance of legal professionals acting within the law and respecting occupant rights.

DBL Solicitors have handled all our legal requirements for the last 25 years, both personal and business, including conveyancing, wills and debt collection. DBL have always always been quick to respond and with utmost professionalism. DBL recently handled a business sale for us and they usually responded with in a day, if not the same day to all correspondence with the other party and the accountants. I believe DBL's fee's are very reasonable for the service they provide, and I've always found them value for money. All of the partners at DBL have acted for us in the past, all with the same professionalism.
