To the Qld Ambulance Service Team,
I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional care and human kindness provided by your staff on the night of Sunday, 26 October 2025.
I arrived home from work to find my son had fainted and sustained a nose injury, which was particularly frightening as he had only just returned home from thyroid surgery the day prior. Despite the exceptionally violent weather and torrential rain that night, the ambulance arrived incredibly quickly.
I want to specifically mention the crew: Rhys, Billy and Kara.
From the moment they arrived, they helped calm my distress. I will never forget Rhys opening an umbrella for me and standing in the pouring rain to ensure I got into the ambulance safely and stayed dry, while he himself got soaked. His care made me feel at ease about the decision to call for help.
While Rhys navigated the dangerous driving conditions, Billy and Kara provided dedicated care to my son in the back of the vehicle. Their professionalism and genuine kindness during such a high-stress situation will stay with me forever.
As a community member, I want to thank them for choosing this profession. They are an absolute credit to the Queensland Ambulance Service. Please ensure this message is passed on to them and their station supervisor, as their impact on our family that night was profound.
