I’m sorry but this is a mixed review. Last Thursday my daughter phoned 000 because I was having what she believed was a heart attack. It took ages for someone to answer. My daughter was told that a vehicle would come. After one and a half hours and another phone call, my daughter decided to drive me from my home in Woody Point to Redcliffe Hospital. Once there, ED staff said that I was having a heart attack so I would need to be transferred immediately to Prince Charles Hospital. This transfer occurred and the two paramedics plus ED doctor onboard were brilliant. Once at PCH, I was informed by the cardiac emergency doctor that I was having a major heart attack. Obviously I was saved.
What happened to the first ambulance? My daughter wasn’t told that it was busy therefore could she transport me; why didn’t this happen?
The ambulance service is a vital ingredient in preserving life…a failure in the service’s system, then, can lead to death. I was lucky that my daughter showed initiative and that the transfer ambulance from Redcliffe to PCH was staffed by brilliant paramedics.

Thank you Steven & Susan Redcliffe Ambulance service. You both looked after me so well. Your manners were calming for me and I appreciate your help. Yes, I am following up with my doctor about the problem as you both suggested. THANK YOU BOTH.

So much gratitude for the wonderful ambulance staff who came to attend to my elderly father, when he fell over at the Redcliffe Markets today. I am sorry we didn't get your names , however the compassion and kindness your showed is so appreciated.

I had the ambulance come out last night to reset a dislocated knee. Amazingly it was pain free. They did an incredible job, even though I was a difficult patient. Thank you so much for the work you all do. It is very much appreciated.
